July 2025, the Honourable Stan Cho, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, announced a major revitalization project for Mille Roches Beach and Day Use Area during a public funding announcement held on-site at Mille Roches Beach. This initiative is part of a historic $82.2 million infrastructure investment from the Government of Ontario to the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, aimed at enhancing visitor experiences and supporting tourism across the province.

The Mille Roches project will focus on improving accessibility, modernizing amenities, and preserving the natural beauty of this much-loved waterfront destination. Planned upgrades include renovated washroom and change facilities, enhanced picnic and play areas, improved shoreline access, more efficient traffic flow, and a new waterfront café that will offer fresh, local fare in a beautiful setting, perfectly complementing the beach experience.

Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2025. We will continue to provide updates on the project’s progress through to completion, as we work to ensure Mille Roches remains a vibrant, welcoming, and sustainable destination for years to come.
